| The Forrest R. Polk Library provides
the University community with access to a wide range of electronic
information, as well as a solid core collection of traditional
library materials. Over 135,000 books and other library materials
circulate each year. Over 13,500 students come to use the library's resources during the 100
hours Polk Library is open a week. Highly-trained, friendly
reference librarians are available to assist students in finding
answers to all kinds of questions. Study and reading areas are
located throughout the three-floor building.
More than just a library, Polk Library offers
instruction to over 200 classes per year in a hands-on instruction
lab, regular classrooms, professor offices and the Regional
Research Center and Archives. Located on the second floors
is the Office of Information Technology. Testing services
is located in the basement administrating both computerized
testing and traditional pen-and-paper tests. Also in the basement
is the IDEA Lab where students can check out various electronic
equipment and print color copies.
