| Evans Hall is designed with two cubes connected
by a common lounge on all floors. Each floor has alternating
wings for men and women. A traditional "Midnight
Breakfast" program is held during finals week each semester.
Evans remains open during vacation breaks.
Evans is right between Stewart Hall and Elmwood
Commons. Located just up the street is Polk Library. Evans
Hall is home for many of the international students at UW
Oshkosh. It shares a
green, landscaped quad with Fletcher and Stewart Halls. The
University takes great pride in this little retreat area.
Maysel E. Evans

In the fall of 1965, Evans Hall opened and was
named after Maysel E. Evans. She was a Speech Instructor at
Oshkosh from 1929-1963 and also directed theater. Evans graduated
from the University of Wisconsin in 1921 and Northwestern
University in 1926. An alumni remembers her as "warm,
talented, intelligent person, and popular teacher."
