| South Scott is a 10-story housing facility offering
scattered, coed and all-women's floors.
South Scott Hall is one of
the first buildings students see as they approach UW Oshkosh.
It is located on one of Oshkosh's main roads, Wisconsin Avenue.
Part of the Scott Hall complex, South Scott is a great place
to interact with other students.
South Scott Hall has 10 floors (rooms on floors 2 through
10). The main desk provides many items including
games, VCRs, change, and ice machines.
Stone Willy's, which is located centrally between the two
Scott Halls, includes a snack bar, big-screen TV, mini video
arcade, ping-pong, pool tables, and a foosball table. Stone
Willy's has a patio area with grills and also can be reserved
for social activities.
Facilities include study lounges, baby
grand piano, weight room, and sauna. The Scott Computer lab
has recently been renovated. The lab has 15 PC's and 8 Mac's
available 24 hours a day. Lab Consultants will work the majority
of these hours in order to provide help with computer problems.

LOUISE E. SCOTT
South Scott Hall, opened
in 1967, is one tower of a two-tower residence hall complex.
The Scott Hall complex was named after Louise E. Scott, a
faculty member in the Department of Education from 1929-1962.
Scott graduated from the University of Iowa in 1920 and received
her masters degree in Elementary Education in 1928. During
her 33 years, she taught History and Social Sciences at the
junior high school, and Latin and Social Study Methods to
college students at the Normal School (Oshkosh). Scott was
also an advisor to the Sawdust City Chapter of Junior Historians.
